New Jersey State Park closure

Island Beach State Park

I KNOW I HAVE HEARD I KNOW – IT’S ALLLLLLL Gov. Christie’s fault which is not true.

But then again, who cares it’s lame duck session nothing will get done anyway including the budget.

Geez…. I remember the same problem when Corzine was in office.

Ever since Christie took office, he’s had nothing but budget problems to deal with. In his defense, he went across this State to have town hall meetings. I remember them, I attended several (the local ones) and the truth is that was the only topic. Budget. He also would get on the radio show by NJ 101.5 FM called “ASK THE GOVERNOR”. He took lots of heat.

Another royal pain in the ass was this State to get relief funding from Hurricane Sandy. We did get it. With cooperating with what the State needed as far as documents. It was a hassle. So, in my opinion, because there was so much work involved to get the funds, that’s why people screamed.

But the State can’t just throw checks around without backup. Right? – Don’t let em kid you! They throw ‘em around.

It’s unfathomable that my State would allow this to happen, especially when summer people mean summer dollars. EFFECTS ALL BUSINESS’!

But I am gonna tell ya what: - The New Jersey Office of the Attorney General’s Medical Examiners Veterinary board? A WASTE IT SHOULD BE OUTSOURCED TO AN UNBIASED FIRM.

Real quick folks:

• It cost us over 12k to sue the vet that allowed my dog to strangle. Big secret! Not allowed to tell you what we settled for.

• You cannot get damages for the death of your beloved furbaby because pets are treated like property as a table or chair. HEY! HOW BOUT THIS! Slam your fist as hard as you can on your table or desk. Let me know if it cries because you just punched your property. I get that it is not the same as a human child, but a CHILD can’t even get damages if they lost their parents to wrecklessness/negligence.

• If pets are treated as property, can someone please explain to THE GENERAL PUBLIC as to why veterinarians are protected by the affidavit of merit statute?

• So, they cannot be sued that’s why. That didn’t stop me but having to hire experts because of the statute, “it is easier to sue a plumber for fucking up your toilet”-Anonymous

• Betsy’s case cost our tax dollars a bit north of 40k. The vet was fined by the OAG’s NJDCA’s ‘MEDICAL EXAMINERS VETERINARY BOARD’ - $1500.00 ok, $6500.00 was stayed; meaning “awwwwwe, it’s ok keep your nose clean for a year and poof all gone!”

Tax payers shelled out over 40k to pay lawyers, EXPERTS, court reporters, like it was sick – then oh wow - the Division of Law’s judge. Eck.

I may be wrong. But it didn’t cost me ¼ of that for experts, deposition, etc for my CIVIL LAWSUIT.

How in the world can the DOL fine the vet $8000.00 but – just $1500.00; the balance is stayed, and IT COSTS THE STATE OVER 40K for an INDEX CARD?

WHY WAS ISLAND BEACH STATE PARK CLOSED? (along with the other state parks)

Is this the FULL REASON? Nooooo – It has nothing to do with Governor Christie. He just remains UNINFORMED. Because the staffers HIDE the enormous loss the State takes over stupidity.

Off the map...

I know I fell off the map, mentally.

I have had countless pet parents reach out to me for help to get justice for their pets. I've been hard at that.

If you lost your pet at a veterinarian's facility due to gross malpractive and/or negligence, look around, reach out to me there is a good chance that I can help you.

As most of you know, not ALL veterinarians are bad. Most are not. But the ones that are should not be allowed to continue to practice without some sort of reprimand. Come on.

There is so much of it going on and pet parents are left to - the not knowing what to do which sucks. I have been there, done that.

Once this book is done (It has to be done right - therefore it is taking a bit longer than anticipated) and you've read it, you'll know all of the steps to get justice for your pet. Which in turn will protect others from the heathen liars of this industry.

IF YOUR PET WAS ROBBED OF HIS/HER LIFE - please, speak up, down, all around.

.dogged is headed to Seattle!

Hi all!

I am very excited that I am going to Seattle at the end of the month for a conference with

PNWA (Pacific Northwest Writers Association) to pitch my story and I am also taking a class

there as well on writing memoir, I have to make this story perfect.

My editor Elizabeth Kracht, and she is awesome.

The class is just another tool in

my tool box.

My story is compelling and I refuse to bore my readers.

Just in case you don't know, the genre 'Memoir' is a contract to readers that the story

that you are telling is the absolute truth. I am telling you all, Stephen King couldn't

write my horror story.

I am very thankful that I have a wonderful Elizabeth.  Elizabeth Kracht and her website

is elizabethkracht.com. She is awesome! Check her out, if you are writing a book, contact her.

I will be reaching out to Dr. Nancy Kay, VMD. She wrote the book called 'Speaking for Spot.'

As I was trying to get my second draft straight, like punctuation, Elizabeth sent me an email that is going to

require a lot of research. That's okay! But yikes! I see punctation errors on the 80 pages or so on my second draft I printed to review.

Listen. If something bad happened to your pet (I don't care if it's a spider) and you need justice

due to negligence, please reach out to me. I will be happy to help.

I am urging you all to reach out to your district's legislators to get 'Betsy's Law' passed in your

Your opposition will be your state's Veterinary Medical Association. They are pro-vet/ anti-legisltation.  And, they have deep pockets

but, you don't need to pad the pockets of legislators. I didn't give them one red cent and got it done.

Please do not hesitate to contact me about getting justice for your beloved pet, if there was negligence or gross malpractice.

The New Jersey Medical Examiner's Veterinary Board handled my case so disgustingly and that

part is in my story. You'll see, it is mind blowing.

If you have battled those s.o.b.'s and got no resolution, call me, or send an email here in the

contact form.

Below, for your legislators is 'Betsy's Law' that is in the already law books at my state capitol, Trenton, NJ.

When you call their office please ask for the Chief of Staff. If that doesn't work, get an aide on the

telephone. When you call, state your name and this: "My name is_________. I am a constituent of (your state)" and tell them you

want to see "Betsy's Law" in your state. As I said, the law already done. Maybe your state has something like this

in your state, if so, please let me know I'd like to see the bill/law.

Last Sunday I went with my veterinarian from Coastal Veterinary here in Toms River,NJ

to do a radio show near Atlantic City, NJ.  I have to admit, it was great.  Other than talking with NJ 101.5, the biggest radio station

in New Jersey when it was printed in the Star Ledger about 'Betsy's Law' NJ Bills S903 and A1186, in 2010, they let me talk for

nine minutes and for them, it's unheard of. They hang up on you to clear the line. They were awesome.

The law is soooo small that I was able to fit it inside my folded business card.

It's amazing what you have to do to get these things done.

In your state, I urge all of you to contact your district's Senators and Assembly folks to

please get 'Betsy's Law' passed. One thing that is so important, and I want you to know that

you have to speak with the Chief of Staff and/or one of the aides. Why? Because they do all

of the work anyway.

Your opposition will be your states Veterinary Medical Association.

If you need help, don't hesitate to contact me if you need justice against a veterinarian that has done you wrong, and

you need help getting justice.

I have been there, done that if you websearch "Betsy's Law" you'll see some of the history.

My mission is to help all pet parents.

My book is not about 'woe is me, Betsy died', it's actually going to tell you to not cut through red tape,

but to explain to you how to SHRED RED TAPE.

It's genre is memoir which is a contract to my readers that what I am telling you

is the absolute truth to the best of my knowledge. Thank God I have electronic paper trails!

Please, if you need help, don't hesitate to reach out to me. I am happy to help everybody that needs a hand to get the law passed.

I am begging all of you get it to your districts legislators.

When you contact them, make sure you say these words: "My name is______ and I am a CONSTITUENT to (your state)"

Here is the no brainer "Betsy's Law" - link  it's already done and I have the stamp of the New Jersey Veterinary

Medical Association.

I welcome your comments. Let me know - is this so difficult?

GREAT NEWS! The monster is BYE BYE!

Well, this very prestegious animal hospital's (YES. HOSPITAL. 24/7. THAT IS A HOSPITAL.) administrator called me today! See, I let them know what they did hire.

The woman was super nice, very thankful for my fight.

I simply explained that when I found out that scumbag shut his practice down and then found out where it went to work, it was my MORAL responsibility to advise them that they hired the vet that allowed my Betsy to die so gruesomely....

I want you all to think about this just for a moment.

I had more bullshit people tell me that I should have checked its license.

I really want to know your feelings on this subject. Please, engage I have to know this.

First of all, if you are a person that has a doctor and you've never had one, did you find your doc through word of mouth? If not, how? If not, did you check your states Division of Consumer Affairs website to see if his license was active? Sanctions? Reprimands?

Was your doc referred via word of mouth through a family member, a coworker, or a friend? Ok, if your doctor needed to send you to a specialst, and you were given a written referral, did you go to your states cumbersome website to check on the doctor?

Now, let's get to pets.

  1. How did you find your veterinarian?
  2. Did you check the license out?
  3. Any sanctions/reprimands?
  4. How about suspensions?

Please give your feedback!

Best to all, God Bless +

Battling your Veterinary Board/Div. of Consumer Affairs?

Posted on June 13, 2016 at 8:45 AM Comments comments (0)

When my husband sent in the complaint in October of 2007about that veterinarian that promised me overnight supervision then Betsy strangled to death because an unbreakable collar was left of her, it took - are you ready? Six years to get it to the NJ Division of Law's court.

Now. Judge John Schuster III dismissed this case with prejudice which means that you "cannot appeal".

That was not gonna fly with me.

When I did what I needed to do, the NJ Veterinary Board had a hearing.

When I asked to speak, Dr. Mark Logan, VMD. told me I had five minutes, but I replied, "It won't take me five minutes."

I SHOULD HAVE SAID: "Is there something wrong with you? Here I stand, six years later because of the way you guys handled this case."

Well, after doing my thing, they overturned the judges decision.

If you are trying to get justice with the good ole boys club - reach out to me!

It's not "Just a Dog!" OR CAT! or PET!

"Just a Dog"

From time to time people tell me, “Lighten up, it’s just a dog,” or “That’s a lot of money for just a dog.”

They don’t understand the distance traveled, time spent, or costs involved for “Just a dog.” Some of my proudest moments have come about with “Just a dog.” Many hours have passed with my only company being “Just a dog,” and not once have I felt slighted. Some of my saddest moments were brought about by “Just a dog.” In those days of darkness, the gentle touch of “Just a dog” provided comfort and purpose to overcome the day.

If you, too, think it’s “Just a dog,” you will probably understand phrases like “just a friend,” “just a sunrise,” or “just a promise.” “Just a dog” brings into my life the very essence of friendship, trust, and pure unbridled joy. “Just a dog” brings out the compassion and patience that makes me a better person. Because of “Just a dog” I will rise early, take long walks and look longingly to the future.

For me and folks like me, it’s not “Just a dog.” It’s an embodiment of all the hopes and dreams of the future, the fond memories of the past, and the pure joy of the moment. “Just a dog”brings out what’s good in me and diverts my thoughts away from myself and the worries of the day.

I hope that someday people can understand it’s not “Just the dog.” It’s the thing that gives me humanity and keeps me from being “Just a man” or “Just a woman.”

So the next time you hear the phrase “Just a dog,” smile, because they “just don’t understand.”

Hello, my name is Heroin.

Posted on May 12, 2016 at 4:25 PM Comments comments (0)

Good day, I hope you are all well.

In my opinion, I think this poem should be placed in every child’s hands from the third grade all the way until a student graduates elementary, high school, college or university, any technical schools.

In Toms River, NJ and of course the whole east coast it is ramped Heroin, and if it hasn’t hit your neighborhood, it’s on it’s way.

This poison, the work of the devil is destroying families all over the world.

What is truly perplexing is that kids and adults of all ages that are aware of the dangers of Heroin and any other drug, is they still will try it for the first time.  For WHAT?

Then the crazy part about it, is the “high” only lasts a few minutes. Then blam, you’re hooked.

Don’t touch it, if you’re playing with it, stop it.

Hello, my name is HEROIN! -

I destroy homes, tear families apart, take your children, and that's just the start.

I'm more costly than diamonds, more costly than gold, the sorrow I bring is a sight to behold.

And if you need me, remember I'm easily found, I live all around you, in schools and in town.

I live with the rich, I live with the poor, I live down the street, and maybe next door.

My power is awesome; try me you'll see, but if you do, you may NEVER break free.

Just try me once and I might let you go, but try me twice, and I'll own your soul.

When I possess you, you'll steal and you'll lie. You do what you have to just to get high.

The crimes you'll commit, for my narcotic charms will be worth the pleasure you'll feel in your arms.

You'll lie to your mother; you'll steal from your dad When you see their tears, you should feel sad.

But you'll forget your morals and how you were raised, I'll be your conscience, I'll teach you my ways.

I take kids from parents, and parents from kids, I turn people from god, and separate friends.

I'll take everything from you, your looks and your pride, I'll be with you always, right by your side.

You'll give up everything... your family, your home... your friends, your money, then you'll be alone.

I'll take and take, till you have nothing more to give. When I'm finished with you you'll be lucky to live.

If you try me be warned this is no game. If given the chance, I'll drive you insane.

I'll ravish your body; I'll control your mind. I'll own you completely; your soul will be mine.

The nightmares I'll give you while lying in bed, the voices you'll hear from inside your head,

The sweats, the shakes, the visions you'll see; I want you to know, these are all gifts from me,

But then it's too late, and you'll know in your heart, that you are mine, and we shall not part.

You'll regret that you tried me, they always do, but you came to me, not I to you.

You knew this would happen.

Many times you were told, but you challenged my power,

and chose to be bold.

You could have said no, and just walked away, If you could live that day over, now what would you say?

I'll be your master; you will be my slave, I'll even go with you, when you go to your grave.

Now that you have met me , what will you do? Will you try me or not? Its all up to you.

I can bring you more misery than words can tell. Come take my hand, I'll take you to hell!

How the hell could this happen?

This veterinary board's behavior is just like New Jersey's veterinary board.

I was treated like shit, BUT that poor vet that allowed my Betsy to die so painfully by strangulation, after I was told she needed overnight supervision so he could collect an overnight fee . (why the hell else would he keep her? WHY WOULD ANY VET ALLOW A PET TO BE LEFT ALONE ALL NIGHT UNSUPERVISED?)

HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? Comments and suggestions (we know that we need to ask and get telephone numbers, etc. etc.)

I am asking all of you to be engaged here with this story!   This man must be pals with the Betsy's vet.  You cannot get any lower than this one!!

I am so very sorry for your Buffy, Sandy -  and remember what I told you. DO NOT QUIT! THEY WANT YOU TO!

Family visit from Germany

Posted on April 27, 2016 at 2:10 AM Comments comments (0)

On Saturday, April 23rd 2016, I met my stepson's great Aunt & Uncle Zeigler.

We took them to New York City on Sunday and showed them Ground Zero, my first sight of it too and it ripped me to shreds to see family members there putting flowers up and teddy bears, etc.

The whole thing was so sad and it broght me back to the day of 9-11.

I was on the telephone with JJ, and he was in Jersey City.  "Holy Shit Miss Maddie! A plane jus' done crasjed nto one of the trade center buildings!"  Well, like most others my God, a plane crash.  As I spoke to him he was so upset neccause he just witnessed it, a few minutes later the 2md plane hit.

What were you doing at the time the plane hit? Dp you remember?

Please comment belowe, was just wondering!  2:20am EST. Going to sleep!

Thanks all

Ear Worms

Posted on April 23, 2016 at 10:25 AM Comments comments (0)

Hi everyone! I hope all is well.

I was wondering, does anybody suffer ear worms?

I know, most of you are saying WhaAAT.  Also known as "Stuck Song Syndrome", it is a debilitating something.  It's when a song gets in your head, from the moment you wake up until you finally fall asleep.  In my case, ok, right now it is the Rolling Stones "We Love You."  It will change numerous times, the Stones, REM, the Go Go's, Hank Williams, the Bee Gee's, I could go on and on.

What makes it such a p.i.a. (pain in the ass), is when I am trying to write or when my husband needs a spreadsheet at the 11th hour.

So, if any of you suffer it, what do you do for it?  I google Youtube and put on music for writing binaural beats, or white noise, something like that.  But I can't do that 24/7!

Please submit your comments and my, if you have any suggestions?  Let me know.  I have already tried the "play the song all the way through".  That doesn't work for me.  It just makes another one come on.  Like right now, "It's all about the bass, bass no treble"!

Best wishes,

Madeleine Kayser
